The Moon Moon Process

The Moon Moon Standard
We make heirloom-quality pieces by hand, working exclusively with solid materials like brass, steel, glass, and wood.
All of our light fixtures are repairable, which means you can fully disassemble and reassemble them. But they're also built to outlast us, so you'll likely never need to.
Designing and constructing our light fixtures in-house means we can accept commissions for fully custom pieces.
How Moon Moon Began
Moon Moon Lighting Co was founded in 2022 by Seattle-based lighting designer David Nebert and architect Ashley Zaworska. Casual conversations around a backyard fire pit evolved into brainstorming sessions in David’s living room as the friends realized they shared a vision of lighting with soul, a refined aesthetic, and meticulous attention to detail.
David, a lifelong tinkerer and amateur naturalist, brings a focus on craftsmanship and plays with layered complexity. Ashley, who has experience in both design and engineering, brings an eye for an ordered, architectural aesthetic. They both draw tremendous inspiration from the natural world and are always searching for design solutions that are both elegant and enduring.
